Seas Sock - Sock Swap

Hello gals,

I just sent out the matches for the Sock Swap. Check your email and contact your pal asap.

If you did not get your match let me know. Lately yahoo and I have not been getting along to well and it's making me a little tense. I do hope they fix the problem soon.

Happy Sock knitting,

Seas Sock - Sock Swap

Hi all,

Please forgive me for being so late in this posting. The last 2 weeks have been less than pleasant. Sickness has taken it's toll on me but I'm on the mend with a new course of antibiotics.

Here's the scoop on the Sea Sock Sock Swap:

I have about five of you ready to knit some socks for the upcoming cruise. Yeah!

I will close the swap on this coming Friday and matches will be sent out the next day. Remember this is not a secret swap. You will know your pal and she will know you:D

Happy sock knitting,

We are Moving....

I don't know if you noticed, but my main business website has been completely upgraded and has a great new look and feel. So, with that move now complete, I'm slowly moving all my group blogs to new URLs. Combine that with the latest moves in blogger and I think we need a new neighborhood to play in.

If you read this through an RSS reader, you will need to update the link, and I'm sorry. However, we are now updating the new blog (with an wonderful new look) at www.mycruiseplanner.net/seasocks

Now, for all of those coming on the cruise, you need only register (click login in in the sidebar) and you will be approved to be a contributor on the site. I am working on getting everyone's blog in the sidebar --- so when you register, shoot me a link if you don't see yours.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy the new home.

Neener Neener Neener

I just had to brag, as I've been handed three of the most beautiful hanks of yarn you could ever hope to lay eyes on!

You guessed, it! It's the SEA SOCKS Exclusive Colorways, and if they don't take the wind out of your sails, you're just broken.

I can't show you pictures yet, but what I can do is tell you a little bit more about the patterns you'll be getting.

Sea Weed - a traditional cuff-down sock, with a weedy looking ribbed pattern and done in the colors of the deep sea - you can practically see the weeds waving in the current, and maybe glipse an inky little octopus or other timid creature of the deep hiding in there.

Sea Sick - everything about this is topsy turvy. You'll wave back and forth working two different types of short rows, work a fun and unusual lace, you can even do one from the toe, the other from the cuff, and if all those directional changes don't make you a little green with sea sickness, everyone around you will be green with envy of these gorgeous colors!
(this is one of your class options)

Sea Breeze - drop anchor and relax! In shallow water and sandy colors, this toe-up sock echos waves splashing on the side of the ship and lapping against the shore, and has a cruise-themed cable on the heel flap, perfect for showing off with a pair of clogs.
(this is one of your class options)

The yarn has far surpassed my expectations (and I know Erin, my expectations were pretty high to begin with!!!) and I'm sure it will yours as well. Y'all are in for some big treats!
